Urban Living was never built around a business plan. It grew from a genuine love of furniture and the quiet satisfaction that comes from creating something beautiful. There is something special about walking into the workshop each morning: the smell of freshly cut oak, the fine dust hanging in the air, and the familiar sound of machinery turning raw timber into something that will become part of your home for decades to come.
We have always loved oak. Every knot, grain and beautiful imperfection tells a story that cannot be replicated by mass production. Watching that transformation from rough timber to finished furniture will never lose its appeal.
That same enjoyment is what we hope to pass on to every customer. We don’t simply sell furniture; we create pieces that will be lived with, gathered around and enjoyed for years to come.
Made to Order
Every Urban Living piece is built when you order it. We work almost exclusively with solid oak because it ages beautifully, has beautiful character and quietly becomes part of your every day life. Knots, splits and uneven grain are the very things we seek when selecting our timbers. They are the reason no two pieces will ever quite be the same. Each piece can be finished in either Dark, Medium or Whitewashed.
